Gold prices in Egypt continue to decline … and the gram loses 25 pounds

Gold prices fell in Egypt for the third day in a row, by about two pounds per gram, during Wednesday’s trading, compared to yesterday’s level.

The value of the decline in gold prices in Egypt thus reached 25 pounds per gram during the last three days, as the price of a gram fell on Tuesday by about 21 pounds, and yesterday the first two pounds.

Naguib Club, former general secretary of the Gold Merchants Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-carat gram of gold fell today to 788 pounds, compared to 790 pounds yesterday.

The price of an 18-carat gram during today’s trading was about 675 pounds, and the price of a 24-carat gram was about 901 pounds, and the price of a pound of gold was about 6304 pounds.

Globally, gold prices decreased during Tuesday’s session by about $ 30 an ounce to reach $ 1808 an ounce compared to $ 1838, before raising the price of an ounce slightly by $ 1.4 during today’s trading to record $ 1809 at 12:33 pm Cairo time, According to data from Bloomberg.
