Keegan Dooley, the former player of the French team Montpellier and Sundowns, said that the presence of Pitso Mosimane with Al-Ahly will always give hope to the citizens of South Africa.
“I want all the best for Mussimane in the CAF Champions League after leading Al-Ahly to reach the final of the tournament,” Dooley added in statements via the South African newspaper “Kick Off”.
He continued, “I hope Musimane wins the title and continues to represent South Africa.”
The former Sundowns star continued his remarks: “I believe in people like Patrice Mozebi (President of Sundowns) and Betsu Musimane, their presence will always give hope to other South Africans, especially as we are a country full of talent.”
“It’s great to see someone from South Africa, someone I’ve worked with in the past, doing great things,” he continued.
He ended: “For Musimane, he was always an ambitious person from the performance of his team, since I was there we always wanted to win because of his personality.”
Dooley played for Sundowns with Pitso Mosimane before leaving for Montpellier, where the 27-year-old managed to lead the team nicknamed “The Brazilians” by winning the CAF Champions League title (2017).
Musimani led Al-Ahly in the recent period after his departure from Sundowns, as the South African coach is waiting for a difficult task by facing Zamalek on the 27th of this month in the “final of the Horn of Africa” of the African Champions League competition.
