Sources close to the family of the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer, revealed the details of his call to his mother this evening, Friday, after announcing his infection with the new Corona virus.
The sources said that Salah called his mother after she was worried about him as soon as she learned about his injury, and he calmed her down, confirming that he was in good health.
The sources added that his mother asked him to meet him to check on him, so the player made a video call with her and assured her that he was fine.
The sources confirmed that the player told his mother on the call that he was considering traveling to England, but his mother tried to convince him to stay in Egypt and undergo health isolation.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Hamida, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Gharbia Governorate, confirmed in a special statement to Al-Youm Al-Sabea, that the Directorate will pay surveillance teams tomorrow to the village of “Najrij”, the birthplace of the player, Mohamed Salah, to examine those in contact with him after testing positive for the new Corona virus.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health stated that his parents, relatives and villagers who had mixed with him at his brother’s wedding will be examined, indicating that those who show symptoms will be isolated, and those who do not show symptoms will be placed under constant observation.
