Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, said that the ministry’s role is to support entities such as Al-Ahly and Zamalek, and he also sent a message of reassurance to the Egyptian masses.
During his presence at the Ona Foundation symposium (Masrawy – Yallakora – Consulto – Shift) to support the “Egypt First – Intolerance” initiative, Sobhi said: “We have a plan and strategy until 2030 for the sports development project.”
He added: “The stoppage of football competitions due to the Corona pandemic that has completely paralyzed the world caused many losses to clubs. The reopening of sports activity and the return of the league – according to precautionary measures – helped our clubs to appear better than their competitors.”
Sobhi continued his speech with the ONA Foundation: “Intolerance is now outside the realm of football and has spread to many other areas.”
Subhi sent a message of reassurance to the fans of Egyptian football, saying: “Our role is to preserve Al-Ahly, Zamalek and all the entities. I assure the Egyptian fans … we will not destroy any entity.”
