Two people were killed, on Monday, when a truck with a trailer loaded with petroleum products overturned and caught fire on Al-Hadhba Road in the center of Assiut.
Major General Essam Saad, the governor of Assiut, received a notification from the head of the city and center of Assiut, stating that a fire broke out in a truck with a trailer loaded with petroleum products on the Al-Hadba road.
A number of firefighting vehicles, ambulances and civil protection forces were pushed to control the fire before the neighboring places spread out.
The Civil Protection Forces were able to control the fire, which resulted in two people being charred, and the car was completely burnt, and the necessary legal measures were taken.
For its part, the Ministry of Interior announced that the Assiut police station had received a notification that a car loaded with petroleum materials had capsized and ignited in the district of Darnaka village in the center’s district.
Immediately, the security services and the Civil Protection Forces in the Assiut Security Directorate moved to the place of the communication, where the forces succeeded in controlling and extinguishing the fire, and the effects of the accident were lifted and the traffic flow managed.
By examination, it was found that while a car was traveling with a trailer of a king (a person) and loaded with 59,000 liters of petrol 80 driving and accompanied by a driver being sold in the direction from Assiut to Aswan, the steering wheel became misaligned in the hand of the driver, which led to his collision with the bridge wall and the trailer falling under the bridge and the car caught fire. This is about the death of the driver and the salesman, and the occurrence of damage to the bridge and lighting poles, and by asking the owner of the car he supported what came in the examination and no one was accused, and the necessary measures were taken.
