Walid Suleiman, the Al-Ahly midfielder, announced that he had contracted the Coronavirus, days before his team faced Zamalek in the African Champions League final on next 27th.
Suleiman wrote through his official account on the social networking site Facebook: “Praise be to God before and after me and Salim Corona positive, your prayers.”
Earlier, Al-Ahly announced that Walid Suleiman, the team’s player, had undergone a new “Corona” medical swab in the coming hours to check on his condition.
The players and the technical staff performed a medical swab, yesterday, Saturday, at the club’s headquarters on the island, immediately after returning from Alexandria, and completing the confrontation with Abu Qir for fertilizers in the Egypt Cup.
Al-Ahly faced Abu Qir Fertilizers yesterday, Saturday, at the Burj Al Arab Stadium, and won (2-1) the Walid Soliman double, to qualify the team to meet Al Ittihad of Alexandria in the semi-finals of the Egypt Cup.
Al-Ahly had previously announced that Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, Saleh Jumaa and Muhammad Sharif, along with Ahmed Yasser Rayan, returning from loan, were infected with the new Corona virus, “Covid-19”.
