“Air riot”
Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper says in its editorial: “In an escalation step that raises the level of tension in the Arab Gulf, four Bahraini fighters infiltrated Qatar’s airspace and its territorial waters, prompting the authorities in Doha to inform the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General about this violation of its airspace as a threat to the security of the region.” .
The newspaper adds: “This is taking place against the background of the talks to solve the Gulf crisis led by Kuwait, in which it was noticeable that the Saudi Royal Court issued an urgent order to all parties in the Kingdom to stop the media attack on Qatar, and it was clear that the authorities of Bahrain and the UAE are trying to put obstacles in front of the solution.”
Al-Quds Al-Arabi continues: “In light of Riyadh’s attempt to control the movements of its allies in the siege of Qatar, the Bahraini position appears to be questionable, but it acquires a greater political irony when it is demonstrated against the background of the positions of Bahraini officials (and the Emiratis of course) who are enthusiastic about Israel, and are active in all directions to strengthen security and financial relations with it. Positions that transcended logic and became closer to scandalous declarations of sympathy with the settlers and the extreme right in Israel. “
The newspaper goes on to say: “Through fabricated air and sea riots, the Bahraini authorities, which have been subject to Saudi influence for decades, mostly driven by the Emirati example and the euphoria of the new relationship with Israel, are trying to say that they, too, have their opinion on the issue of Gulf balances.”
The Qatari Al-Sharq newspaper says in its editorial: “These provocative and irresponsible acts by Bahrain are an escalation that raises tension in the region, which does not need more such actions. The State of Qatar has placed the Security Council and the United Nations in front of its responsibilities to take the necessary action according to provisions. The United Nations Charter to put an end to Bahraini violations in order to maintain international and regional peace, security and stability.
The newspaper adds: “The State of Qatar’s keenness on good-neighborly relations and exercising the utmost restraint does not prevent it from preserving its full right to respond to any violations in line with its legitimate sovereign right, and to take the necessary measures to defend its borders, airspace, maritime and national security, according to the provisions of International law and the United Nations Charter. “

Today’s opinion added: “Especially since the tension comes less than two weeks before the holding of a summit of Gulf Cooperation Council leaders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in which Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, is supposed to participate, during which a reconciliation document will be signed ending the dispute between Qatar and countries. The three Gulf states boycott her. “

The newspaper says: “Whatever the reasons that prompted the Kingdom of Bahrain to send these aircraft and penetrate the Qatari airspace, or how this state of tension and the hidden messages from it will develop, what can be said is that the Gulf reconciliation is facing a crisis, and disputes may return to square one, and what many fear.” To develop to what is worse, and we are satisfied with this amount for the time being. “
As for the Bahraini newspaper, Akhbar Al-Khaleej, it quoted the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying that “the allegation by the Qatari authorities that four fighters of the Royal Bahraini Air Force infiltrated Qatari airspace is irresponsible, dishonorable, and irrelevant.”
