Books – Ahmed Abdel Basset:
The Egyptian Football Association Referees Committee admitted that the video referee made a mistake during the Enppi-Zamalek match, which was administered by Mohamed Al-Sabahi as arena referee, according to a responsible source in the committee.
Zamalek defeated Enppi with a score (1-2) in the match that brought the two teams together on Saturday evening at Petrosport Stadium, in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League championship.
A source in the Referees Committee said, in statements to Masrawy: “The video referee made a mistake in two cases during the Enppi and Zamalek match.”
The source refused to reveal the fact that Sobhi Al-Amrawi had suspended the video referee after reports claimed that he had been excluded for a month from running the league matches.
The source emphasized: “We do not announce any sanctions related to the rulers through the media. The matter is confidential.”
He concluded, “Even if there is a penalty related to the ruling in order to correct errors in the future, we will not disclose them.”
It is reported that Abdel Nasser Mohamed, director of football in Enppi, confirmed in televised statements that the club would file a complaint with the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) for forgetting to award a penalty kick for his team against Zamalek.
