A source in Al-Ahly club denied that there had been any contacts between the club’s management and the officials of Vanguards of the Army in order to sign a contract with the team’s player, Ahmed Samir.
Press reports had linked the player to his transfer to Al-Ahly Club during the winter transfer period.
A source in Al-Ahly Club said, through Laila Koras statements, that these reports are completely inaccurate, and that the management of the Red Castle had never considered contracting the player.
Samir, born in 1994, defended the colors of a number of clubs, most notably Zamalek and Ismaili. He also played for Wadi Degla before joining the ranks of the Vanguards of the Army.
Al-Ahly club had launched the winter transfer season by contracting with Walter Bwalia from El Gouna for a period of four years, starting from January 2021.
