Al-Ahly club will host its stadium in peace, the Nigerian champion Sonideb, in the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League, which holds its title.
Al-Ahly won a precious 1-0 victory for its Malian star, Aliou Diang, in the first leg, to become in need of any draw or victory in the second leg to qualify for the group stage.
South African coach Pitso Musimane finally allowed Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy to rest and removed him from the match list completely in order to get a rest under the pressure of the great matches.
Ali Lotfi, the second goalkeeper, will be the man who assumes the responsibility of protecting Al-Ahly’s lair in the face of Sunideb. Mustapha Schubert or Hamza Alaa sit on the bench.
Otherwise, Musimane hopes that his team will rest even on the field, that the team will preserve all its energies and not make much effort in the match, in order to achieve victory from the shortest way and with the least effort.
Al-Ahly lost 7 players due to Corona in the previous game in the league against Wadi Degla, but five of them were declared recovered, and only Marwan Mohsen and Amr Al-Sulayyah became the only two players with the virus.
The recovery of Al-Ahly stars from Corona would give the team a big boost, in addition to the return of some of the injured, including Taher Muhammad Najm, the former Arab Contractors.
Musimani needs to give his players who were absent from the previous match locally some minutes or full participations to raise their fitness and technical levels.
Al-Ahly team is reviving with the return of Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” again to support the team’s roster, and he is the player with one of the most expensive goals in the history of the Red Castle after winning the ninth title of the Red Club with his goal against Zamalek in the final last November.
