Apple informs Apple TV Plus subscribers of the refund

Apple informed subscribers of the Apple TV Plus streaming service that they will continue to redeem their account balances through June, after a second extension of its free trial program earlier this month, according to 9 to 5 Macs.

A report by theverege said Apple has extended a one-year free trial of Apple TV Plus to customers until July 2021.

Trial versions are included with the purchase of any Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV) and were initially scheduled to run until November 1, 2020.

An earlier extension pushed the free trial expiration date back to February, allowing users who launched a free trial between November 2019 and June 2020 to get up to five months of free additional access.

But before Apple released the first free trial extension, some users switched to paid subscription status in the meantime, and Apple gave these customers refund credits, which is the same as it applies after it extended its beta program.

According to theverege, which includes 9 to 5 Macs, informing affected subscribers via email that they will receive monthly credits of $ 4.99 (or its local equivalent) for their Apple accounts, which will be applied automatically for each month. A fee is charged from the subscriber between February and June. Credits can be used in App Store purchases.
