Forbes magazine said that Elon Musk, who was for a while on the list of the richest people in the world, has fallen to second place again after his fortune declined about 14 billion dollars in one day.

The magazine pointed out that the shares of Musk’s electric car manufacturer, Tesla, fell about 8% on Monday, which led to a decline in Musk’s total wealth of about $ 13.5 billion, to a total of 176.2 billion. Shortly after he removed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos from the top of the world’s richest people list last Friday, Musk returned to his second place, according to Forbes.

The magazine estimated that Musk’s wealth is now less than Bezoss wealth of about $ 6 billion, as the total wealth of the Amazon founder is $ 182.1 billion, after e-commerce site shares fell more than 2% on Monday, bringing his fortune to $ 3.6 billion.

And Elon Musk’s reaction to his topping the list of the world’s richest people on Friday was surprising, writing on Twitter saying, “How strange, well let’s go back to work.”

Musk’s personal fortune was boosted by a more than eight-fold increase in the value of Teslas share last year, making it the most valuable automaker in the world, and Musk owns 20 percent of the company as well as an unrealized gain of nearly $ 42 billion in stock options, according to a previous Bloomberg report.
