Conte’s statement is the opposite of what he expressed last November when he said that Eriksen was “not suitable to play in this position”.
“We have time to work with Eriksen on some planning matters in the playmaker center, a position in which no one is currently in but Marcelo Brozovic,” Conte said before facing Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia.
“I expect him to do great things in this position,” he added.
“In a player’s career there are good and bad moments, but you must have the mentality to overcome the difficulties,” he said.
Eriksen has played 393 minutes this season with Inter.
The lack of Inter’s participation made Valencia and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him, according to Spanish and Italian press reports.
Eriksen, 28, moved to Inter in January 2020 from Tottenham.
In all, Eriksen participated in 39 matches with Inter, scoring 4 goals and making 3 assists.
