Description of the match
Tottenham started the meeting with strong pressure, as Stephen Bergoyen hit a powerful ball from outside the penalty area, which Aaron Ramsdale drove for a corner.
Then Aurier successfully took advantage of the corner and successfully diverted Sun Heung-min’s cross into the net to take Tottenham ahead.
Sun almost added the second goal quickly after he was alone in the goal and hit a ball that passed over Rumsdale, but collided with the left post.
Oliver Burke fired a low shot from outside the penalty area in Sheffield United’s first threat against Tottenham, but Hugo Lloris successfully controlled the ball.
Sheffield’s danger continued through McGoldrick, but Eric Dyer stopped his shot before reaching the goal.
But Kane aborted all Sheffield’s attempts to return after scoring the second goal with a curved ground shot from outside the penalty area that went precisely to the left of Rumsdale.
With the beginning of the second half, Kane came back and hit a powerful ball with his left foot, but it went wide.
Then John Lundstram fired from the edge of the penalty area, but his shot went past the left post.
And John Felk sent an elaborate left-footed cross that McGoldrick turned with his head successfully in the range of Lloris, after which he outperformed Ben Davis in the air struggle.
However, Ndombele came back and scored the third goal in a wonderful way from inside the penalty area, after which he fired a ball with his outside foot in the air to deceive the goalkeeper.
After the third goal, Tottenham dominated the match until its conclusion.
Tottenham is supposed to play Liverpool in the next match, on January 28, and Sheffield United will play Manchester United in the next match on January 27.
