Italian actress and director, Asia Argento, accused the famous American director, Rob Cohen, of “sexual assault”.
Actress Asia Argento, who played a role in the movie “xXx” directed by Cohen, told the Italian newspaper “Il Corriere della Sera” that “Cohen abused her and made her drink GHB,” a drug linked to sexual assaults. ”
She added, “At the time, I didn’t really know what this drink was, and I woke up in the morning naked in his bed.”
The Italian actress alleges that the assault took place while filming the 2002 action movie “xXx”.
On the other hand, a spokesperson for Cohen, the director of the popular thriller “The Fast and the Furious,” described Argentos claim as “flatly wrong” and “baffling.”
The statement, issued by Cohen’s spokesman, indicated that “an excellent working relationship” links Rob Cohen and Asia Argento, stressing that “Cohen considered her a friend, so this claim dating back to 2002 is bewildering.”
The Italian actress also included the accusations in her autobiography, Anatomy of a Wild Heart, which will be published in her native Italy, on January 26.
It is worth noting that Asia Argento was one of the first to accuse the convicted rapist Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein, of assault, in an interview with The New Yorker in 2017.
