The Lebanese singer Elissa announced her departure and leaving the application of the instant messaging platform “WhatsApp”, in protest to the new conditions and rules that the company has put in place since the beginning of the new year.
Elisa’s announcement came on her official Twitter page, in which she wrote in English: “I think I will leave WhatsApp and move to another application.”
The application “WhatsApp” had announced a number of new conditions, which included a summary of how information is shared with “Facebook” and how any shared information can be used.

At the same time, WhatsApp allows all its customers to accept the new terms by February 8th to avoid disrupting their accounts.
WhatsApp is one of the most popular applications around the world with more than two billion active users, but some users may lose their accounts unless they agree to share certain data with Facebook.
