Pitso Mosimane, the coach of the first team of Al-Ahly club, admitted that he would be on the brink of his current position if he received one loss with the Red Genie.
Musimane confirmed that he knew the meaning of the real pressures during his tenure as coach of Al-Ahly club, noting that the pressures on him currently are not comparable to those he faced with Mamelodi Sun Downs, South Africa.
Musimane said during his statements to the South African Journalists Association: “If you think I have been under pressure in the Sun Downs, no my friends, I have pressure here. Now these are real – pressures – things.”
“To lose one game, you are on the edge of an abyss. So you always have to win,” the South African coach added, in his remarks carried by the African Times.
It is noteworthy that Musimane took over the coaching of Al-Ahly club last October, succeeding the Swiss Rene Fyler, where he was able to crown with the red genie the title of the African Champions League for the ninth time in the history of the club and the second in its training history.
Musimani, who is 56, has played 20 matches with Al-Ahly since coming to Egypt, winning 17 of them and drawing 3 others, including a tie at the end of last season’s league and two games this season.
