The Media Center of the Council of Ministers confirmed on the official page of the Egyptian Cabinet that the first semester exams will be held on the specified date after the mid-year vacation, indicating that the Ministry of Education was contacted following the spread of rumors on some websites and on social media pages about postponing the semester exams. The first academic year in all grades until next May, and the ministry denied these rumors.

In its response, the Ministry said that all first semester examinations will be held for all grades after the mid-year vacation ends on February 20, 2021, and that in the event of changes to the exam date, it will be officially announced by the concerned authorities.

In its response, the Ministry added that the teaching of the curriculum was completed until the end of the first semester in the distance education system, in order to fulfill the basic requirements of the standards for completing the curriculum, and the examinations that were scheduled to be held were postponed until after the end of the mid-year vacation.

Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, announced earlier that there is no intention to cancel or postpone the exams under any circumstances, adding, “I would like to pay attention to studying and learning from all available resources in preparation for the first term exams.”
