Hussein Al-Samri, a member of the Executive Committee in Zamalek, confirmed that the club does not recognize the apology of the French club Saint-Etienne, after what he described as a misunderstanding following the statements of the club’s president, Roland Romier.
Al-Samri said, in telephone statements to the “Cairo Talk” program on the “Cairo and the People” channel this evening, Saturday: “Saint Etienne’s apology did not reach us on the official e-mail of the club.”
He added: “The Zamalek administration does not recognize anything that did not come through the official channels, which is e-mail, especially as it notices that there is no signature on the paper circulating in the English language.”
He explained: “The temporary committee agreed to the departure of Mustafa Muhammad because it is a professional experience in Europe, and we follow the state’s policy and give him a chance so that there is a new Mohamed Salah in the stadiums.”
Hussein Al-Samri confirmed in his statements to the “Awdat al-Dress” program on the “Al-Nahar” channel: “We are waiting for the apology to arrive from the president of Saint-Etienne Club himself to clarify what was intended by his statements and confirms that he miscalculated.”
A member of the Executive Committee in Zamalek concluded, “In the event that there is an official apology from Saint Etienne and is convinced by the Zamalek board of directors, he will make matters more flexible with the French club regarding Mustafa Mohamed.”
