Lieutenant-General, Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, responded to Eng. Naguib Sawiriss tweet about building an express electric train from Ain Sokhna, not from Hurghada.

The minister said, in a telephone interview with the “Al Hekaya” program on MBC Egypt, on Saturday evening, “Engineer Naguib Sawiris is a dear friend, he just wants to start the express train from the tundra for the city of El Gouna,” adding: “ This is his right. ”

The Minister of Transport confirmed that the second phase of the electric train will extend to “Hurghada, Safaga, Qena, and Luxor,” saying: “I am in peace, the train goes to Hurghada .. but we will pay you the price of the station in El Gouna,” explaining that the time for the train journey, “Hurghada-Luxor,” is only two hours. For the transportation of phosphate, aluminum, and imports from Safaga port, another goal is to serve the tourists.

He continued, “Orascom (owned by the Sawiris family) participates with German Siemens in implementing the project,” explaining that the state implements this network for all citizens.

Businessman Naguib Sawiris had written a tweet on Twitter, saying: “Anyone who understands this express train is from Ain Sokhna to Al-Alamein .. not from Cairo, for example, or Hurghada?”
