I wrote – Bahira Fouda:
The artist Salma Abu Deif talked about her relationship with the artist Dina El-Sherbiny, after the spread of a video clip of them breaking dishes in a popular restaurant in Dubai, and also about her relationship with Emmanuel Arnot, editor-in-chief of Vogue Arabia.
“I sure know Dina before, and I love her very much, we are friends,” Salma said during her interview on Et Arabic.
Salma added: “The dishes that we broke are not real in order to preserve the environment,” and denied the existence of a new artwork that was collected by the artist Dina El-Sherbiny, “No, it is not correct.”
She also commented on rumors of her engagement to Emmanuel Arnott, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Arabia.
Salma said: “I published my photo with my friends on New Year’s Eve, and among them was Emmanuel Arnott, a close friend of mine who supports me in my work and we meet a lot, but I did not allude to any association of any kind between me and him,” our character is very similar to some.
And she continued: I amended the comment on the image by adding the symbol “fbf”, “friends forever,” because I do not like to enter into an argument and discussion of any kind.
She added, “People know where his religion is, and they asked him,” and she continued, “I am not engaged, nor did I get engaged.”
It is noteworthy that Salma Abu Deif’s latest work was her role in the story “I need to live” within the stories of the series “Una Ana” with actress Jamila Awad, actress Najla Badr, artist Ahmed Khaled Saleh, and artist Khaled Anwar.
