A rare copy of the marriage contract of Omar Khorshid and Maha Abu Auf

The murder of Egyptian musician Omar Khorshid has returned to the fore recently after his family announced their willingness to receive condolences after the death of the former Egyptian Minister of Information, Safwat Al-Sharif.

Activists shed light on his life and recalled stories of his association with several women. They found that among his wives was the Egyptian actress Maha Abu Auf, and they published a rare photo of their marriage contract.

Available information indicates that the deceased married several times, the first of which was to Amin Al-Sobky in 1971. However, they separated in 1972. After this, he married the artist, Mervat Amin, whom he met while filming a movie. This marriage did not last for long, as divorce was announced in 1973. After that, he married a Lebanese businesswoman. It is noteworthy that he died on May 29, 1981 in a traffic accident, the circumstances of which are still unclear to this day.

It is noteworthy that Abu Auf explained earlier that she was involved in disputes because of his inheritance, in an interview with the “Ninth” program presented by Wael Al-Ibrashi on the Egyptian TV Channel One.

At that time, the rumors demanded to pray for mercy and forgiveness for the late artist and his widow Dina Khorshid, who died in October 2020, instead of talking about her entry into disputes related to the artist’s inheritance. And she considered that the latter was more expensive than anything and that she had not yet thought about his departure from his inheritance.
