Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rumminget commented on his team’s confrontation against Al-Ahly in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, which Qatar is organizing for the second consecutive edition.
Romnegie said during his interview with the German “Sport1”, today, Friday: “Our coach will analyze our Al-Ahly opponent.”
He added, “You cannot be arrogant. It is true that we are the best in the game, but we do not want to falter. We want to take every match seriously.”
The former Bayern Munich star sent a message to his team members, saying: “I beware of underestimating the opponents. Al-Ahly is a very old club with more than 30 million fans in Egypt alone.”
He added: “Al-Ahly has been chosen as the club of the century. We are very looking forward to this confrontation, and we will face the opponent with the utmost respect and appreciation.”
Al-Ahly advanced to the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup yesterday, Thursday, after the victory, which was achieved at the expense of the tournament organizer, the Qatari team, Al-Duhail, with a goal without a response that came through Hussein Al-Shahat.
