It seems that the relationship between Arturo Vidal, the Inter player, and coach Antonio Conte, has not gone well lately.
Against Juventus, Vidal did not complete the match, leaving his place in the 73rd minute for Christian Eriksen, which angered him greatly, according to the newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport”.
The newspaper pointed out that Vidal told Conte after leaving the stadium, “Number 22 is someone who is always swapped out“.
Vidal wears No. 22 with Inter after moving to the team last summer from Barcelona on a free transfer.
Vidal has switched 14 times this season with Inter.
Inter lost against Juventus in the first leg of the Italian Cup semi-final with two goals to one at Giuseppe Meazza, with the return match scheduled for February 9th.
Conte had criticized Vidal after the match of Croton, saying: “He has to do more because no one guarantees a key place in this team, he has to prove his ability to play and perform better than he is presently doing.”
He explained, “When I say he works better, I mean many aspects, which Inter cannot handle. He knows that and knows that he has to train harder. In the big teams, you can use training for show and fun, but this does not happen here.”
Vidal played 25 matches with Inter, scoring two goals and making the same in all tournaments.
