The Organizing Committee of the Club World Cup awarded the arbitration for the match between Al-Duhail and Al-Ahly in the World Cup for Guatemalan referee Mario Escobar.
Al-Ahly will play Al-Duhail in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, next Thursday at the Education City Stadium.
Escobar is assisted by fellow countryman Humberto Panoy as first assistant referee, and Jamaican Nicholas Anderson.
While the Lebanese Abdel Qader Zitouni will be the fourth referee for the meeting.
Canadian Drew Fischer will be the video assistant referee, assisted by Luxembourg Kevin Blume.
Argentine Mariana de Almeida is present as a reserve flag referee during the match.
Escobar, 34, was awarded the international badge in 2013.
He previously managed two matches in the Under-17 World Cup, which was held in 2019.
He previously managed one match in the North American World Cup qualifiers, as well as 3 matches in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2019.
