Bayern overcame Herta with no response In his last match before traveling to Qatar to face Al-Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals.
“The first half was difficult,” Flick said after the match. “We had to hold out at some moments and the ball was not with us.”
He continued: “But the team did well, and we defended our progress until the end, so I am satisfied.”
He added, “We wanted to travel to Qatar with victory, now it will be a nice trip.”
Flick turned to reveal the status of Leon Goritska and Javi Martinez, after they were infected with the Corona virus about a week ago.
“We have to wait a little longer to find out about Gorteska and Martinez’s health,” Flick said.
He concluded: “Goretska is improving and looking better, but Martinez will probably not be ready for the first match, maybe the second.”
The match saw Robert Lewandowski wasting a penalty kick in the 11th minute, which was saved by the home goalkeeper.
With that result, Bayern Munich reached 48 points, at the top of the German league table, with a difference of 9 full points over Leipzig, and the latter had a smaller match.
Bayern Munich won the German League, German Cup, Super Cup, European Champions League and European Super Cup in 2020.
