Charleroi stated that he signed Benavente on loan until the end of the season, with a clause in the contract allowing him to include the player permanently.
Benavente played on loan from Pyramids to the Belgian Royal Antwerp in the first round of the current season and participated with him in the European League, but he cut his loan to get more minutes of play.
Benavente, 26, the Peruvian playmaker, had previously represented Charleroi between 2016 and 2018 before being contracted by Pyramids.
The Spanish-born playmaker formed at Real Madrid’s academy and played for his reserve team between 2013 and 2015, before moving to Milton Keynes Dons of England.
Benavente played on loan from Pyramids to French Nantes last season.
Benavente played only 12 matches with the Pyramids shirt during his half-season with them, during which he scored 3 goals and scored 4 goals.
Benavente has 19 caps for the Peruvian national team, during which he scored two goals, and was on the list that participated in the 2016 Copa America.
And press reports had indicated the desire of Santiago Solari, coach of Mexican Club America, to include Benavente during the winter transfer market.
Solari had worked with Benavente before at Real Madrid Castilla, but the deal was not ultimately finalized.
