Al-Ahly coach Pitso Musimani stressed the difficulty of facing Al-Duhail at the opening of the World Cup, due to the strength of the Qatari team.
Al-Ahly will play Al-Duhail, Qatar, tomorrow, Thursday, at the opening of the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020.
Musimani said at the press conference before the match: “Since we arrived in Doha, we have not had a chance to see other places, only the hotel and the training ground, but the city is very wonderful and we are happy to be here.”
“Every coach in the tournament believes that he is able to reach the farthest point,” he added.
He continued, “We believe in the capabilities of our team, and we know that the competition here will be at a much higher level than the Egyptian League and Africa.”
“We have a good team and Al Duhail is a big team that cannot be underestimated at all. The road is easy because Al Duhail has a number of distinguished Brazilian players, and also Mahdi Bin Attia, the defender who used to play with Juventus,” he added.
“We won the African Champions League well and deservedly, and our team has a collective mentality and we will give our best and if that is not enough, at least the fans will see that you have given everything,” he said.
He concluded his remarks, “We know the power of heroism and we did not come here just for a walk.”
