Kimmich’s companions are preparing to participate in the Clubs World Cup and face African champions Al-Ahly on Monday in the semi-finals.
“Our biggest strength is our mentality and our skills. Both really matter. We have a strong mentality within the group,” the Bayern midfielder said in an interview with the FIFA website.
“We always strive to win, even when we’re not playing well. You can always see this team trying their best to win,” the 25-year-old added.
“As everyone knows, our team is full of great skills. It doesn’t matter who plays, there is always a world-class player in the starting line-up and this is a great source of strength,” he continued.
Al-Ahly skipped the Qatari champions Al-Duhail in the quarter-finals with the goal of Hussein Al-Shahat on Thursday to qualify for the match against Bayern.
Meanwhile, Mexican Tigers Unal beat South Koreas Ulsan Hyundai to strike a date with Brazilian Palmeiras in the semi-finals.
Bayern participate in the World Cup for the second time in its history.
The German giant won the title in 2013 at the expense of Moroccos Raja.
