Rene Fyler, former coach of the first team at Al-Ahly club, confirmed that the fans of the Red Genie quickly turned against the team’s coaches, during his talk about the most prominent features of the Red Castle before the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.
The German press, specifically “51” magazine, used the experiences of Renee Weiler in Egyptian and German football, before confronting Al-Ahly and Bayern Munich, where he had previously trained the Nuremberg and Red Genie teams.
The ETA Sport Press newspaper quoted part of Fyler’s statements, where he said: “If you succeed, the fans will carry you on their necks, but this could turn very quickly, especially after the defeats in the derby against Zamalek.”
It is reported that Swiss Rene Fyler left Al-Ahly training last October after the mutual termination of the contract between the two parties, following a clause allowing the two parties to do so, before he was succeeded by Pitso Musimane, who led the Red Genie to crown the African Champions League and the Egypt Cup.
Al-Ahly will face next Monday at 8:00 pm in the Qatari capital Doha, Bayern Munich, in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, after the Red Genie defeated Al-Duhail, Qatar, on Thursday, with a clean goal scored by Hussein Al-Shahat.
