The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that he had been transferred Family planning services From hospitals to medical centers and basic health care units, to prevent overcrowding and mixing in order to preserve the health and safety of the beneficiaries.

The Ministry of Health and Population stated that the needs of family planning beneficiaries of the means are dispensed for a period of three months, in order to reduce the frequency of health units, in order to ensure the continuity of providing family planning services during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Ministry of Health and Population revealed that these services were provided through medical centers and basic care units, in addition to awareness campaigns and reproductive health convoys in all governorates of the Republic, as well as coverage of remote and first-care areas to ensure that services reach all beneficiaries, indicating that the total number of visits by beneficiaries to obtain Family planning services in fixed units and mobile clinics reached more than 21 million visits.

And Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, announced the provision of family planning and reproductive health services to 1 million 183 thousand and 477 women free of charge during the second half of last year 2020, within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to continue providing family planning services in light of facing the emerging Corona virus, and within State plan to reduce overpopulation.
