Mariah Carey’s older sister filed a lawsuit against the American singer, demanding compensation for “severe emotional damages” caused by some parts of the famous singer’s memoirs.
In her complaint, Alison Curry referred to some allegations in the book written by Mariah Carey that she gave her Valium when she was 12 years old, tried to sexually exploit her and threw boiled tea in her face.
Alison denied the allegations, saying that Maria “did not provide any evidence to support these serious allegations.”
Carey published her diary in a book titled “What it means to be Mariah Carey” last September.
Alison, who was 20 at the time Maria set out in her allegations, filed her legal complaint with the New York Supreme Court on Monday.
The case papers said that the “nefarious” material in Maria’s book was intended to “insult and embarrass” her sister.
Alison claimed that Maria “used her public profile to attack her bankrupt sister, and to formulate sensational headlines containing her crude allegations in order to promote her book.”
Mariah Carey’s sister is now seeking compensation for “the unnecessary, cruel, cruel, public and vengeful public humiliation,” according to case papers.
The case papers indicated that Alison Curry suffered from severe depression “due to the trauma of her childhood that no one knows anything about, in addition to her abandonment by her children.”
Maria admitted earlier that her sister or “ex-sister” suffers from deep wounds, referring to her psychological suffering.

What Stated in the book؟
Alison’s relationship with Maria went through many periods of closeness and separation at various stages, such as pregnancy, drug addiction, and the control of suicidal thoughts, according to Mariah Carey’s diaries. Although there were warm moments between the two sisters, the American singer mentioned several occasions during which her older sister Allison had put her at risk.
She recounted in her book that John – a friend of her sister’s who she said used to run a prostitution network – once tricked her at the age of twelve in order to spend a whole night with him as they played cards and watched a movie in an outdoor cinema where spectators watched movies from inside their cars. Claiming that he encircled her with his arm “directly”.
She added that a state of paralysis and terror hit her that night when she saw “the fire weapon that (John) was placing around his thigh), and only a car had approached and stopped next to their car, which prompted John to leave the cinema and go home. silence”.
Mariah Carey believes that she was in danger of being forced into prostitution in that situation, justifying this conviction that “broken families are ideal victims of abusers, just as young people in such families are the most vulnerable to abuse.”
During an interview with “The Sun” newspaper, Alison denied the allegations, expressing shock at her accusation by Maria that she was pushing her into prostitution.
