National Bank: A continuous 11% certificate … and 230 billion pounds an increase in “platinum” balances


Hisham Okasha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Egypt, said today, Monday, that the bank continues to offer platinum certificates with a validity of 3 years, with an annual return of 11% paid monthly, stressing that the balances of platinum certificates in the bank increased by 230 billion pounds within 7 months only, to reach To 1.2 trillion pounds by the end of January, compared to 965 billion pounds in June 2020.

The head of the National Bank of Egypt added, in exclusive statements to Al-Youm Al-Sabea, that the average monthly increase in the purchases of Platinum Certificates by National Bank of Egypt clients amounts to about 30 billion pounds, which confirms the extent of citizens’ appetite for this type of saving vessel.

Hisham Okasha confirmed that the total deposit balances with the National Bank of Egypt rose by 300 billion pounds during the same period to record 1.9 trillion pounds by the end of last January compared to 1.6 trillion pounds by the end of June 2020.
