Second term, March 21 … Higher Education confirms to the country’s resonance that the exam decisions are correct

The leaders of the social networking site Facebook circulated some false statements attributed to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, about the date of the first semester exams for Egyptian universities and institutes

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the media spokesman for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, confirmed that the ministerial decision to start practical, laboratory and written examinations for the first semester of 2021 in all technical institutes of the Egyptian Colleges of Technology, as of Saturday, February 20, 2021.

He added in a special statement to Sada Al-Balad website, that the decision includes the start of studies for the second semester from Sunday March 21, 2021, while the retardation exams for students of the second year in the subjects of the first year start on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

And Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, issued a new ministerial decision to resolve the position of university students’ exams.

This decision stipulated that the practical, laboratory and written examinations for the first semester 2021 in all technical institutes of the Egyptian Colleges of Technology start on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

The decision stipulated that the examinations for the undergraduate subjects for the second year students in the subjects of the first year would start on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

The decision stressed that all examinations should stop during public holidays and holidays.

The decision affirmed that the study for the second semester will start from Sunday March 21, 2021, and the heads of the committees are obligated to obtain the approval of the work authority to delegate to work in the committees during the working days period.

It was emphasized that the heads of the committees should adhere to the terms of reference mentioned in General Circular No. 1 of 1997 and its amendments, each in their respective jurisdiction.
