Al-Ahram Gate publishes a detailed report that includes the decisions and statements of Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education, regarding the preparatory and general secondary certificates, and the first and second general secondary grades.

The Minister of Education’s statements came in 18 points, which came as follows:

First: The result of the first year of secondary school reflects the existence of group answers in certain subjects.

Second: 10% of the students scored between 90 and 100% and 20% scored less than 50%.

Third: The aim of the first and second secondary examinations of the first semester is for every student to know his level.

Fourth: The examinations for the first and second grades are preparation for the high school diploma.

Fifthly: The examinations for the first and second grades of secondary school had technical problems and incidents of fraud.

Sixth: The penalties for cheating in the matriculation exams will be strict, and censorship by cameras.

Seventh: There are no exams for the first and second secondary grades in March, and the questions are hardcopy.

Eighth: The examinations for the first and second secondary grades for the second term at the end of April and May only.

Ninth: April and May exams are grouped and in schools with the same type of questions, but the answer is on a separate sheet.

Tenth: Calculating the second semester grades for the first and second secondary grades as a result of the whole academic year.

Eleventh: There will be no books, mobile devices or tablets with students during the April and May exams.

Twelfth: The result of the first semester exams is passing or not passing, and it will not have grades.

Thirteenth: April and May exams for the first and second secondary grades, on 3 days only.

Fourteenth: Any student who encounters a technical problem in an examination of any subject in the first semester will succeed in it.

Fifteenth: Exam for subjects that are not added to the total under the supervision of the school after the May exams.

Sixteenth: There will be no standard examinations for the first and second secondary grades in the second term, but rather different according to each department.

Seventeenth: the preparatory certificate exams at the end of June and the general secondary school exams in the months of July and August.

Eighteenth: General secondary examinations will be electronic and in school committees and through “Open Book”.
