Facebook F8 is an annual conference held by Facebook, which is dedicated to developers and entrepreneurs who build products and services around the site, and it was hosted in San Francisco, California until 2016, and moved to another site in Silicon Valley in San Jose, California in 2017.
F8 conference
The activities of the previous conferences began with a keynote speech by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, followed by various breakout sessions that focused on specific topics. Facebook often introduced new features and issued new advertisements at the conference, and the name “F8” comes from Facebook’s tradition of the 8-hour hackathon.
F8 dates
The scheduling of the F8 was somewhat erratic, as the 2008 conference was held in late July and the 2011 conference was held in late September, while no other conferences were held in 2009, 2012 and 2013, and the 2020 F8 conference was canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
