Hossam Al-Badri, the coach of the Egyptian national team, confirmed that Muhammad Al-Nani’s refusal to wear the leadership badge of the Pharaohs during the confrontation with the Comoros and granting it to Mohamed Salah was a sweet gesture.
Al-Badri indicated in statements on the Echo Al-Balad channel, that he was displeased with the fact that a number of people gathered around Mohamed Salah after the end of the confrontation, calling for the need to determine how they entered the stadium.
Al-Badri said: “What happened to Mohamed Al-Nani towards Salah was a beautiful thing. We did not discuss the leadership badge at all, but when Amr Al-Soulia left the stadium and asked Al-Nani to award the badge to Salah, it was an excellent gesture.”
He continued: “I was surprised by what happened with Mohamed Salah after the match and very upset with him. It must be determined how these people entered the stadium and surrounded him in this way.”
He added: “The character has a big factor in the players choices for the national team’s camps. The player must be balanced, as the matter is not only technical, I do not like those who may cause unnecessary matters and problems. ”
He concluded: “I do not prefer the player who says that he works and plays hard with his club in order to join the national team. Please do not choose yourself, do your work only with your team.”
