Al-Kafrawi appointed as the acting CEO of Al-Ahly

Al-Ahly club announced, this evening, Monday, the appointment of Ibrahim Al-Kafrawy, a member of the board of directors, as acting executive director, as a substitute for Brigadier Mohamed Morgan.

Al-Ahly said in an official statement today, Monday, that the Board of Directors in its meeting thanked and saluted Brigadier Mohamed Morgan, Executive Director, for the period he spent sincerely at the head of the club’s executive management. The board wished him all success in his new assignment after his appointment and assuming his duties as deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of the “National Stadium” company, which Al-Ahly Club is proud of and is pleased with its successful partnership with it through the economic unity project.

He added, “The decision of the council came in light of the categorical assertion by the club’s legal committee, headed by Counselor Mahmoud Fahmy, that combining the two positions in the club and the company at the same time contradicts interests, as well as contradicts Al-Ahly’s principles and the club’s statute.”

He explained: “In the same context, the Board decided to assign Ibrahim Al-Kafrawy, a member of the Board of Directors, to undertake the work of the Executive Director as a volunteer free of charge, until a new CEO is chosen.”

A source said in exclusive statements at Laila Kora that Ibrahim al-Kafrawi was appointed to Scion for a period of two months only, until a new executive director settled, although there are some voices calling for his continuation.
