President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi thanked all the parties that participated in ending the ship’s crisis that ran aground in the Suez Canal.

Al-Sisi said during a press conference at the headquarters of the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia: “The size of the problem was great, but praise be to God, there is no loss of life or losses on the boat or its cargo.”

He added, “There is an important thing that I must pay attention to, and it is a remark that makes me very reassuring about the reaction of the people in Egypt. Despite all the support from the brothers and their offer to help in solving the crisis, we have to look at the Egyptians, who were watching in silence, which is a special need for them. Everyone felt that we were in a real crisis. They were supporting it in great silence. It was clear through the means of communication and the media, and it was remarkable, and this shows how much people love their country, despite all the circumstances.

President El-Sisi concluded: “The awareness and keenness of the Egyptians makes us overcome challenges and crises.”
