Journalist Amr Adeeb mourned the writer, Nawal Al-Saadawi, saying that this woman spent most of her life unappreciated.

He added, during the presentation of his program “The Story” on the satellite channel “mbc Egypt”, on Sunday evening, that the deceased was always the focus of the community’s attack, commenting: “No one half of this lady is living … most of her interactions are foreign, no one who bore the boldness and frankness of Nawal Al Saadawi.”

He stated that this lady fled Egypt for ten years because she was threatened with death, adding: “The lady who got married at the time of President and Sadat, paid her opinion and preferred to stick to her frankness and courage.”

He stressed that the deceased was under attack in an abnormal way, adding that it did not express public opinion, as 90% of its views did not appeal to many.

And Dr. Nawal El Saadawi, Egyptian writer and novelist defending human rights, died on Sunday after a struggle with illness at the age of 90.
