The United States announced an additional grant of $ 14.5 million to prepare students of Egyptian public universities to find job opportunities and achieve the desired career success after graduation.

US Ambassador Jonathan Cohen said, according to a statement by the embassy, ​​on Monday evening, that this scholarship helps students move from the education stage to the job market in coordination with the private sector.

Cohen announced the grant during the Virtual Employment Forum organized by the American University in Cairo as part of the University Centers for Career Development project funded by the United States Agency for International Development. This funding brings the total investment of the US government to $ 33 million.

So far, the US government has opened 16 centers in 10 universities across the republic, from Alexandria to Aswan, and by 2025 it will reach 30 university centers serving 1.5 million students in 22 universities – about 70% of all Egyptian public university students!
