The 18-year-old won the award this year, after he finished runner-up in the award last year, thanks to his brilliance with the first team in Barcelona since his first appearance in the 2019-2020 season when he played 33 matches and scored seven goals in all competitions.
Fati won the award despite having injured the left knee four months ago, which caused his participation during the current season in only 11 matches with the Catalan team.
Fati grabbed the award after a fierce competition with Eduardo Camavinga, the French player Rennes, who finished in second place, while American Gio Reina, the German player of Borussia Dortmund, came in third place.
Three of Barcelonas players were among the 50 competitors, in addition to the crowned Fati, Pedri came in fourth place and Iax Moriba in 50.
