Mohamed Farag Amer, president of Smouha Club, confirmed that Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly club, did not request to sign the Alexandrian team’s top scorer Hossam Hassan in order to include him in the next season.
Faraj Amer responded by asking him about the fact that Mahmoud Al-Khatib requested a contract with Hossam Hassan, saying: “I swear by God, it did not happen, and Mahmoud Al-Khatib did not ask for any player from Smouha.”
“Hossam Hassan will continue until the end of the season and the player will not go to Al-Ahly. The player will move to another club,” Smouha added.
He continued: “Al-Ahly has priority in contracting with Hossam Hassan, on the condition that he submits an offer equal to the offer presented to him.”
Hossam Hassan tops the Egyptian We League scorer with 8 goals, surpassing Youssef Ibrahim “Obama” from Zamalek, Omar Kamal Abdel Wahid, Al-Masry player, and Ahmed Samir, Talaia El-Geish player, where the trio has seven goals in their tally.
It is worth noting that Hossam Hassan is now with the Egyptian national team, which is preparing to play the Kenya and Comoros matches in the framework of the African Nations Cup qualifiers in Cameroon.
