Abed Rabbo said on Radio On Sport: “Work as a director of football? I am ready to support the Ismaili from anywhere, as it is my home. My tendencies are administrative rather than artistic. I also try to transfer my experiences to the young players in my academy, and I sometimes participate with them in training.”
And when asked whether he would return to play if Ihab Jalal asked for that, he replied, “I retired during a mysterious period out of respect for my name and my history.
The ball is in my blood and I train daily to maintain my fitness. “
Then he added, “But I see that the opportunity is difficult, especially since I moved away three years ago and the current trend is to push ahead with young and ready names.”
Abd Rabbo, 36, retired from football in 2019.
The former midfielder played for Ismaily, France’s Strasbourg, Emirati Al-Ahly, Al-Ittihad and Saudi Arabias victory.
He represented Egypt in 100 matches and scored 16 goals.
On Sunday, Abd Rabbo attended the presentation conference of Ihab Jalal, the new Ismaili artistic director.
