While the regular training sessions were attended by Mahmoud Abdel-Rahim “Jensh”, Tariq Hamed, Imam Ashour, Ahmed Eid and Osama Faysal.
The players went through rehabilitative and physical training before the start of the training session, in an effort by coach Patrice Carteron to reach the highest level of physical fitness, according to Zamalek.
In a session on the sidelines of the training session, Carteron praised the efforts of the players in training during the past days, asking them to focus in the current period to achieve a positive result in front of MCA.
The goalkeepers performed grueling physical training under the supervision of the goalkeeper coach Oliveira.
Tunisian duo Ferjani Sassi and Saif El Din El Jaziri will arrive in Cairo this afternoon, after participating with the Carthage Eagles in the 2021 African Cup qualifiers.
Like the rest of Zamalek’s players, Sassi will undergo a medical examination under the supervision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), while Al-Jaziri, who does not participate in the African Champions League with the team, is subjected to a precautionary medical examination.
Zamalek will be a guest of MCA on April 3 in the fifth round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
Zamalek ranks third with two points in Group D, led by Esperance, with a score of 8, followed by Mouloudia Algeria, with a score of 6 points.
In the last round, Zamalek will host the Senegalese team Tongith, who collected one point.
