Today, Wednesday, Maran Zamalek witnessed the presence of Emad Abdel Aziz, head of the committee in charge of managing the club, and duo Hazem Imam and Ahmed Hossam “Mido”, former club stars, to support the team before traveling to Algeria.
Zamalek is preparing to face Mouloudia Algeria next Saturday night in the fifth round of the African Champions League group stage.
The club president, Emad Abdel Aziz, was keen to shake hands with the players, tighten and motivate them before traveling to Algeria, in the presence of Hazem Imam and Mido.
The Zamalek mission is scheduled to travel to Algeria on Thursday evening, following the team’s final training session.
Zamalek players went through physical and rehabilitative training before the start of training, which was supervised by Patrice Carteron, the coach, and Fernando, the load coach.
Ahmed Syed “Zizou” participated in the team’s collective training after his absence on Tuesday, and was satisfied with rehabilitating exercises due to suffering from back pain.
The duo Ferjani Sassi and Saif El Din Jaziri also organized after their return from participating with the Tunisian national team.
Tunisias national team qualified for the African Cup of Nations after leading its group in the qualifiers.
And Mohamed Osama, a doctor in Zamalek, revealed that Abdullah Jumaa, the team’s player, had undergone a rehabilitation program to recover from the connective muscle injury he suffered.
Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” performed special exercises in the gymnasium after participating in part of the group training session.
The Zamalek doctor revealed the team’s negative test before traveling to Algeria.
Zamalek is ranked third in the CAF Champions League group standings, with two points, 6 points ahead of Mouloudia Algeria, who is in second place.
As for Esperance, it leads its group with 10 points and has qualified for the quarter-finals.
