FilGoal | News | Mikel: Hazard said he can beat Ronaldo … but he is the worst player I trained with

Former Chelsea player John Obi Mikel revealed that his team-mate and current Real Madrid player Eden Hazard was not training hard while in England.

Hazard played with Mikel from 2012 to 2017.

Mikel said to the American network “The Athletic”: “I have always said that Hazard is one of the most talented players. He has everything such as speed, strength and skill. He comes behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.”

He added, “Hazard said of himself: I want to be like them, because I can, although there is no great player like Messi because he is from another planet, but I think I can get close to Cristiano or become better than him.”

Mikel continued: “These words were from Hazard, but he was giving his all, and he was the worst player he trained with.”

“On Sunday he was winning games and it was great, so no one spoke or said anything,” he continued.

And he added, “He was the best on the field, but during Monday and Tuesday he did not seem to be present. He was standing and walking even though everyone was fighting and screaming during the training.”

He completed “he was doing nothing (during training).”

Mikel left Chelsea in 2017 and joined the Chinese team, Tianjin Tiger.

Hazard moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019.

Hazard suffered many injuries with Real Madrid, which made him miss several matches since his move to the Spanish club.
