Loew will quit coaching the German national team after 15 years, following the end of Germany’s campaign in the Euro Championship next summer.
“I joined the German national team in 2009 when I was young,” Neuer said in comments posted on his club’s website. “I tried everything with this coach. It’s special for me too.”
“We went through some ups and downs together. They were successful periods most of the time. We reached the top together by crowning the 2014 World Cup in Brazil,” he added.
In 2009 Noir made his debut with the Manshaft under Loew, and since then both have played 96 international matches, appearing in two European and three World Cups.
The 34-year-old continued, “We aspire to achieve some goals, and we want to crown the successful era with a beautiful end and give Love a parting gift. He deserves it after his success period.”
12 cities will host the Euro 2020 championship next summer after postponing it for a year due to the spread of the Corona virus.
Germany’s first three matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers will start on Thursday against Iceland, then on Sunday against Romania and on Wednesday, March 31st, against North Macedonia.
Bayern Munich captain said, “The 3 matches are important for us, and there is no room for mistakes.”
The German national team plays in Group X with the teams of Romania, Iceland, Armenia, North Macedonia and Liechtenstein.
