FilGoal | News | Report: Koeman demands “the loudest word” in Barcelonas transfer market

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman wants to have the supreme say in the next summer transfer market for the team.

According to the Catalan newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Koeman asked the Barcelona administration headed by Joan Laporta to have the supreme say in the players’ choices in the next season.

Coman also requested that he talk with whoever will leave the team before his departure and that this matter not be between the player and the management.

Koeman had asked to sign Lyon striker Giorgino Wijnaldum with Memphis Depay and Manchester City defender Eric Garcia last summer, but the previous administration headed by Josep Bartomeu did not sign any of them.

Laporta is expected to sign several players to support the team after his success in the elections and his accession to the post of president.

Barcelona has been linked with Manchester City’s top scorer Sergio Aguero, according to a report by the Argentine “tyc sports” network.

Barcelona are second in the Spanish League this season with 62 points, behind leaders Atletico Madrid with 66 points.

Koeman’s contract with the team extends until 2022.
