Mohamed Salah is the star of Liverpool against Leipzig in the Champions League
Salah won the award for best player in February 2021 at Liverpool FC, to claim the award for the third time this season, after winning it in December and January.
“Winning the Best Player of the Month award again is a nice feeling,” Salah told his club’s website after receiving the award.
“I am more happy with our recent results, and I hope that we will continue with our victories,” the Egyptian international added.
Last week, Liverpool won two consecutive matches for the first time since the end of last January, when they beat Leipzig in the Champions League and Wolverhampton in the English Premier League.
Salah continued, “It was difficult for all of us because of the situation we went through and the position we occupy in the English Premier League, but I think that things will improve.”
Defending champion Liverpool, who occupied the top of the English Premier League until last January, is currently in seventh place, 11 points behind runner-up Manchester United, while Manchester City tweets in the lead alone.
Salah believes that Liverpool’s Salah is doing well in the Champions League, after the team qualified for the quarter-finals, to face Real Madrid next month.
“I don’t want to just talk about my season because we play as a team, so I say it is a difficult season for all of us and we just need to keep winning matches,” he explained.
Salah has played 40 games so far this season, scoring 25 goals, 17 in the league, 5 in the Champions League, 3 in the England Cup.
“We will do our utmost to win the next few matches, and we hope that we can do that and do well in the Champions League,” Salah stressed.
The former Basel player is currently in the Egyptian national team camp, which is preparing to meet Kenya and Comoros this month in the upcoming African Nations Championship qualifiers.
After the end of the Egyptian national team camp, Salah will return to play with Liverpool against Arsenal on Saturday, the third of April, before facing Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday, and then the Aston Villa meeting in the English Premier League the following Saturday, to play the second leg against the Royal on Wednesday. .
